In this campaign for GTE our goal was to remind consumers that deregulation of local phone service must be handled very carefully. The campaign strategy included a video, direct mail and press releases. Our message was a reminder of the umbrella of protection that quality, affordable local phone service has always provided. Using the rainy day concept we were able to tie in the tag line "without knowledgeable, fair decision-making some residential customers could be left out in the cold." Both print and video images of stormy weather were used to convey the message.
